Compensation and Benefits


At Numerica, we work hard to ensure our people have a competitive compensation and benefits package. We believe the best way to hire and keep the best people is to take great care of them.

Every year we benchmark our compensation and benefits to make sure each Numerican has the chance to earn a total compensation package at or above the 90th percentile of the industry standard. If you like numbers, so you should appreciate that stat.

Equity Sharing Incentive
Fostering an entrepreneurial spirit in our employees is important to growing Numerica’s revenues and profits. We believe productive team members should be able to share in both short-term successes and long-term growth in the value of the company. So convert your big-brain power into big-time bonuses. Numerica offers a performance-based compensation program allowing you to earn up to an additional 15% of your gross wages in cash and restricted company stock. This is awarded annually.

Profit Sharing
Eligible employees receive a contribution based on company profitability. Our yearly profit sharing contribution target is 3% of your gross wages. All team members employed on the last day of the calendar year, who have worked in excess of 800 hours in the same year, are eligible. This is paid into your tax-deferred retirement account and is subject to a five-year vesting schedule. Some vested employees also enjoy sporting cuff links and tap shoes, but only when they’re feeling really fancy.

401(k) Plan
Numerica provides a 401(k) plan and matches 100% of the employee contribution up to the first 4% of the employee’s gross wages contributed (not to exceed IRS limitations). You become eligible to participate on the first day of the month following your two-month employment anniversary. The employer match is immediately 100% vested. See Profit Sharing for additional information about those kooky vested employees.

Health Insurance and Prescription Drug Coverage
Health insurance is available to all regular full-time employees at Numerica. The plan is a High Deductible Health Plan with an associated Health Savings Account (HSA). The premiums for both the employee and dependants are shared with Numerica 50/50. I know what you’re thinking when you see the words “High Deductible.” Not to worry. Between the company contribution to your HSA and your company-sponsored Health Reimbursement Account, we’ve got your liability covered for qualifying expenses under the health plan.

Long Term Disability Insurance
Provided at no cost to you. 90-day elimination period.

Dental Insurance
Dental insurance is available to all regular full-time employees. The premiums for both the employee and dependants are shared with Numerica 50/50, so don’t forget to floss.

Life Insurance
Provided in an amount equal to your base annual salary, but not to exceed $50,000. The policy is term insurance and Numerica pays 100% of the premium.

Flexible Spending Account
Both medical and dependent care FSAs are available.

Vacation Time
All regular, full-time employees earn vacation time for every recorded hour they work, rather than the traditional system of earning vacation time with each passing pay period. It’s just one of the ways we say thanks for going above and beyond. Vacation time is calculated on a sliding scale based on length of service.

Sick Leave
Company paid sick time is provided for all eligible employees on a “need it, take it” basis. This means if you’re sick, stay home. When you get well, come back. Yeah, there are a couple minor rules that apply, but we can go over those during orientation.

Holidays
Numerica offers eleven paid holidays, including a company-wide “shut down” the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Getting “shut down” on the job never felt so good, and it’s sure to turbo charge your holiday spirit – kinda like a warm cup of spiked wassail.

Corporate Health Club Membership
Numericans receive subsidized health club memberships in Colorado and Ohio. Our brains get such a good workout we don’t want the rest of our bodies to feel like they weren’t invited to the party.

Massage Day
Numerica offers each employee a free 25-minute massage once a month. This is so full of awesomeness we can’t wipe the goofy grins off our super-relaxed faces when we talk about it.

Christmas Party
Each December, Numericans and their significant others from all over the country get together in Colorado to celebrate the holidays. This is a semi-formal dinner where we hand out awards, reflect on the achievements of the past year, eat way too much good food and enjoy socializing together outside of work.

Summer Family Picnic
Each summer, Numericans and their families slather on sunscreen and gather at a local park to enjoy a day of barbeque and fun activities.

Annual Ski Trip
It would be a shame to live and work in Colorado and not take a day off in the winter to play in the Rocky Mountains. So whether you like to downhill ski, cross country ski, snowshoe, ice skate, or just hang out in the mountains, this event has something for everyone. Each winter, all Colorado and Ohio Numericans are given an extra day off, bussed up to a popular ski resort, outfitted with tickets, rental equipment, lessons (if needed), and told to go have fun. The stories finally wear thin by the time next year’s trip rolls around.

Bobblehead Hall of Fame
Each year, the company’s top performers are immortalized with a custom bobblehead doll made in their likeness. Once the superstar’s Mini-me is completed, it assumes its rightful place of honor in the Bobblehead Halls of Fame located in our Loveland and Dayton offices.
