Welcome to Randy Paffenroth’s Numerica blog! As my first blog entry I thought I might first introduce myself and then talk a bit about some of the things that I have been working on lately.

I am a program director at Numerica and I manage the software group. In particular, we handle the projects that require actual delivery of code to the customers. We also work on some of the more “experimental” projects at Numerica (those that are further from or normal areas of business). That may sound like a rather odd mix and I would agree that it is. The good news is that it is a great fit for the people in my group!
